Many local artists will be displaying and selling their artwork during a festive day in La Mesa's newest community park. See the art\, listen to the music\, bring a picnic lunch\, and enjoy a family day at MacArthur Park.  \n\n									   MacArthur Park\, the location of the "Art in the Park" event\, was re-dedicated as a public park in La Mesa last year. It had previously been home to the Sun Valley Golf Course\, a nine-hole public golf course since 1954. The 13-acre golf course\, which was adjacent to La Mesa's 22-acre community park at 4975 Memorial Drive and near the Foothills Gallery\, closed in June 2017 and was then re-opened as public parkland in October 2017.
