DESCRIPTION:We're Looking for Your Feedback!\n\nThe survey is to determine the level of interest in exploring financing and maintenance district options to plan for and implement improvements in the Casa de Oro business district.\n\n\n\nBACKGROUND ON SPECIFIC PLAN The Campo Road Corridor Revitalization Specific Plan is a community-based plan to improve the urban form\, quality of life\, and public safety along the Campo Road Commercial Corridor. The Specific Plan covers a 60-acre area (42 acres excluding roads and rights-of-way) centered on Campo Road between Rogers Road and Granada Avenue and serves as the commercial and civic center of the Casa de Oro community.\n\n\n\nFINANCING OPTIONS Different programs\, strategies\, and improvements can benefit the Corridor. Many require significant funding\, design\, and coordination with multiple agencies. Funding mechanisms and professional management services include Business Improvement Districts (BID) including business assistance\, marketing\, and promotion and Community Facilities Districts (CFD). \n\n\n\nEXAMPLES IN SAN DIEGO Little Italy is a Business Improvement District (BID) focusing on public safety\, beautification\, promotion\, and economic development while preserving the unique cultural resources that exist in our neighborhood. Liberty Station is a Community Facilities District (CFD). CFDs are available to finance a broad range of improvements and services that can assist in the development of property used for residential\, commercial\, industrial\, or community centers.
