LOCATION:Overview of SBIR grants with guidance on eligibility\, application process\, and commercialization support for founders. The Brink SBDC at University of San Diego\, Knauss School of Business presents SBIR Info & Advising Session. Join The Brink SBDC and the Office of Innovation and Commercialization (OIC) for a hybrid SBIR Info & Advising Session designed to demystify Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) funding. This workshop is offered through a partnership between The Brink SBDC at the University of San Diego and the Office of Innovation and Commercialization at UC San Diego. The session is ideal for researchers\, faculty\, and entrepreneurs who have started or are considering starting an innovative company. No prior SBIR experience is required. The event will be hosted both onsite at the UC San Diego Design and Innovation Building and virtually via Zoom. He holds degrees in environmental engineering\, has studied biomechanics\, and has worked with the California SBDC network for over five years. Matt also leads The Brink SBIR Writing Group. Kit Ryan Kit Ryan focuses his practice on general corporate matters\, including capital markets\, venture capital financings\, mergers and acquisitions\, and securities law compliance. A certified public accountant\, Kit previously worked as a tax professional and has founded two startup companies. Alvaro Ortiz Alvaro Ortiz serves as a Sales Associate at TurboInnovate. TurboInnovate is trusted by organizations including Amgen\, the Department of Defense\, AFWERX\, NHLBI\, DOE\, technology transfer offices\, entrepreneurial support organizations\, and startups. Alvaro supports innovators in identifying partners and navigating SBIR funding opportunities through TurboSBIR.
