DESCRIPTION:Southern California American Indian Resource Center (SCAIR) is celebrating its first birthday in the City of El Cajon!\n\n	 \n\n	July 23rd - 25th\, from 11am to 3pm\, SCAIR invites the El Cajon community and neighbors to come tour our center\, meet our staff and learn about our many programs!\n\n	\n\n	\n		HISTORY OF SCAIR:\n\n		SCAIR\, a non-profit 501(c)(3)\, was founded by William H. Johnson\, Sr. in 1997. A Native American of Comanche decent\, Mr. Johnson understood the dilemmas and challenges of Native Americans living in urban areas. Upon his retirement as a lathing foreman\, he decided to establish a non profit organization to help all self identified Native Americans.\n	\n		Throughout the years\, SCAIR has provided a number of educational and community programs within Native American Communities and on Tribal Land.\n	\n		In 2012\, SCAIR\, consolidated its two centers\, previously located in Alpine and San Diego's Fairmount area. The new state-of-the-art center is currently located in the revitalized area of Downtown El Cajon.
