DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, December 4th. 2025 the Veterans East County Alliance (VECA) in partnership with the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 3rd Annual Veteran Awards Luncheon of Recognition (VALOR) at the Jamul Casino. VECA was created in 2021 and is unique in that VECA recognizes and honors our Veteran-Owned and Veteran Friendly businesses in East County and the San Diego Region. There are many such businesses that support our returning military personnel to help them transition into the workforce and civilian life. VECA offers monthly networking opportunities\, engaging mixers\, workforce seminars\, job fairs\, provides leadership scholarships and partners with many veteran resource and transitional organizations. This years VALOR theme will recognize those who offer support for our returning service personnel as they build their future on the echoes of service. Legacy Beyond the Uniform "Building the Future on the Echos of Service" Once clad in the disciplined cadence of military life\, A veteran now stands at the precipice of a new horizon. After years of service\, marked by purpose\, passion\, and pride\, the transition home was both a return and a departure  an echo of honor seeking a fresh voice. Our veteran's story isn't just about leaving the military it's about carrying its legacy forward. Building the future on the echoes of service means recognizing that purpose evolves\, passion adapts\, and pride endures\, far beyond the uniform. In support of VECA's ongoing work with the veteran community and to recognize those Veteran businesses who give back to their own\, we invite you to partner with us for our annual Veteran Awards Luncheon of Recognition. All proceeds will benefit the work of VECA and the Veteran Community. Here's how you can help: Submit a nomination application. Nominations open through September 2025.
