DESCRIPTION:October 1-31st\, Public Reception Friday\, October 2nd from 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. Sophie's Art Gallery presents the 6th annual Passageways show\, honoring National Disabilities Awareness Month. This year we explored themes of choice and independence through the use of personal symbols in creating folk art with found objects. The show\, inspired by field trips to the House of Blues in downtown San Diego was supported through a grant from their foundation.  Join us for wine & hors d' oeuvres and live music and celebrate another St. Madeleine Passageway with us ... Sr. Maxine Kraemer will be moving to the retirement community of the Religious of the Sacred Heart\, Oakwood\, in northern California. Join us in honoring Sr. Kraemer at our public reception\, for her years of dedicated service! Suggested donation $20.
