AI WORKSHOP SERIES: AI STARTUP PITCH DAY

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Given the fast-paced AI landscape, we are bringing back the AI Workshop series this Fall! This 5-part AI Workshop Series is designed to provide an overview of AI, layout opportunities across industry sectors, functions, start-ups, and investing, and discuss the challenges and risks that we must overcome to seize the tremendous potential that AI presents to us. The series will comprise of a series of lectures, discussions, case studies, hands-on workshops and will conclude with start-up pitches that best reflect the opportunities and incorporate the learnings from the series. Led by Pankaj Kedia – a prolific start-up AI investor, senior AI advisor at Brink, and adjunct Knauss MBA faculty at the University of San Diego, this series is designed for start-up founders, investors, students, and faculty who are ready to incorporate AI in their day-to-day life.

The finale will be a pre-selected group of companies pitching to investors for feedback. It will not be recorded, and it will be in-person only at USD.

2. Hear expert feedback from a panel of judges including seasoned investors and advisors.

INSTRUCTOR

Pankaj Kedia

Pankaj Kedia is a globally recognized AI thought-leader and expert as an early-stage investor, CXO advisor & consultant, adjunct MBA professor, keynote speaker, and Global AI150 honoree. Previously, Pankaj played pivotal roles incubating and growing a series of businesses during the Internet, Mobile, and Cloud technology eras across three decades at Intel and Qualcomm.

As the Founder & Managing Partner of 2468 Ventures, Pankaj has directly invested in 150+ early-stage startups and 15+ funds across silicon, systems, software, and services. He is now bringing the benefits of AI to society-at-large and is focused on accelerating the AI ecosystem. As a senior AI advisor at Brink, Pankaj is advising a number of AI-focused founders as they incubate and grow their start-ups. As an adjunct Knauss MBA professor at the Univ of San Diego, Pankaj has taught multiple AI courses and is currently leading the Torero Ventures Lab where 26 students are incubating eight (8) AI-powered start-ups. Pankaj is a lifelong learner with engineering and business degrees from Stanford, Wharton, Univ of Michigan, and the Indian Institute of Technology.
