"5 is the New 50"
Do you know that, if your company has from 5 to 49 employees, you are now obligated to provide job-protected leave to employees for certain reasons? Starting January 1, 2021, the California Family Rights Act has applied to employers of five or more employees – previously, it applied to companies with 50 or more employees. This law provides employees with up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for family and medical reasons in a one-year period.
