What to Expect:
INSTRUCTOR
Mike Olivier
With 30 years of experience in information technology, Mike Olivier brings his expertise to system security planning. As a small business owner working in the federal space both as a prime contractor and as a subcontractor, he understands the realities of running a small business. His security experience includes providing system engineering support in developing the security model for the US Navy, NIWC – San Diego, Advance Container Security Device, the security architecture for wireless tactical networks, and first responder emergency management networks; to name a few. This experience in planning, and in dealing with system security compliance in commercial and federal systems allowed for a commonsense approach – one that’s rooted in the fact that businesses must survive while meeting their compliance requirements. He’s the author of several articles that focus on cybersecurity in terms of its impact on business. He holds the title of CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification), AB Registered Practitioner, and a certified PMP through PMI. Mike also has a BA from UCLA, and an MBA and a Master of Science in cybersecurity from National University in San Diego.
