Due to unprecedented government events, the congressman will be unable to hold a Dine & Dialogue on October 13th. a new date is to be confirmed.
"I am regretfully writing to inform you that Congressman Issa will likely no longer be available on October 13^th to present to the East County Chamber Dine and Dialogue. Late Saturday (09/30), Congress came to an agreement on a short-term funding bill to keep the government operating into FY24. However, this short-term agreement only extends government funding through November 17^th. Adding to that, the house now needs to select a new Speaker before the funding negotiations can continue. The House will now stay in DC to keep working on a long-term funding agreement for the next few weeks."

Congressman Darrell Issa represents California's 48th District, which includes San Diego and Riverside Counties. He is a senior Member of both the Foreign Affairs and Judiciary Committees as well as the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. Issa is also Chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet. A commissioned Army officer who obtained the rank of captain, Issa was the founder and CEO of California-based Directed Electronics Incorporated, which became the nation’s largest manufacturer of vehicle anti-theft and auto security devices. Issa also served as chairman of the Consumer Electronics Association.
