About Us

Diane Powers’ Casa de Pico, formerly situated in Old Town, is now in La Mesa's Grossmont Center. It continues to be known for authentic Mexican food, giant Bird Bath Margaritas, beautiful interior décor, a festive courtyard and strolling Mariachis. It's award-winning cuisine, lush outdoor patio and festive atmosphere make it the perfect place to come for a romantic evening or lively gathering with family and friends.

The fiesta begins the minute you walk through the door. Whether in the gorgeous dining room with its vibrant colors, hand painted artwork, classic folk art, and wrought iron fixtures, or on the heated outdoor patio with a giant splashing fountain, tropical plants and colorful flowers, Casa de Pico brings you the very best in Mexican culture. Regional and traditional entrees, along with frosty margaritas and live entertainment help depict the true spirit of Mexico. Hot handmade corn and flour tortillas are prepared fresh daily in the Tortilla Kitchen, located right next to the lobby where friendly staff are waiting to serve you.

The Casa de Pico family strives to provide every guest the most extraordinary experience possible, and they are very grateful for their loyal diners who have helped name them Best Mexican Restaurant, Best Patio Dining, Best Margarita, Best Guacamole, Top 50 Best Mexican Restaurants and Hot 150 Restaurants in various publications.

Casa de Pico's fun and festive environment makes every special occasion, birthday, rehearsal dinner, wedding anniversary, office party and graduation a memorable occasion.
