PRESENTER BIO:
Brenda Kasper, Partner
Brenda Kasper is the head of Paul, Plevin’s Transactional Practice Group and has been practicing management-side employment law for more than twelve years.
Brenda’s practice is dedicated to providing counseling and transactional assistance to large and small employers on a broad range of employment matters. Her particular areas of legal expertise include wage and hour compliance, leave management, disability accommodation, employee terminations and discipline management, employment contracts, personnel policies, and hiring issues. She also represents employers in administrative proceedings before various state and federal equal employment agencies.
Brenda has a background in employment litigation and extensive experience assisting companies with risk management. She provides management training on a wide variety of topics including sexual harassment prevention, managing employee leaves and disability issues, avoiding wage and hour claims, and the differences between California and federal employment laws for multi-state employers. She also served as Human Resources Director for a large Southern California employer and has the SPHR-California certification.
